In 2005 WHEFC sponsored an initiative to plant a new church on the Crestwood Park estate in Kingswinford. Starting with considerable prayer, door to door visiting, and a week day meeting held in the local pub, the work gathered momentum in August with a week long 'Crestwood Festival' held in the grounds of the secondary school where the idea of the new church was introduced to the community. Through Gods grace and provision, just a few months later, regular Sunday meetings began in the Crestwood School library with attendance often in excess of 50 people, including new believers, mature Christians and a varied age range. In April 2006 Crestwood Church gained independance from WHEFC, with four appointed elders in leadership, a growing congregation, and a number of weekly meetings and clubs serving the Crestwood community and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Crestwood Church now meet at the Dingle Community Centre, Kingswinford. Find out more by clicking on the link to the Crestwood Church website below.
